The Building of the Sandy Bay Breakwater, 1894 article

There is a great discussion going on over at the Good Morning Gloucester blog about the building of the Sandy Bay Breakwater. I previously published a post about the history of this ill-fated project, but I thought I’d also share the following. It is an October 1894 magazine article about the building of the breakwater, replete with photos and maps. It was published in The New England Magazine and written by Herman Babson.
