Compare this scene of Motif No. 1 with this one, both photographed by Virginia Cleaves Little. One of these boats has the same name as one in the other picture, the “Joe D’Ambrosio, Boston.” I cannot make out the names of the others.
Little took quite a number of photographs in the 1940s of the fishermen and their vessels who worked around Motif No. 1. This one is dated 1945.
